What it does

Right-click the Tablet, in either hand, and it opens the same screen as the Quantum Network Controller, with the same rights: your own Public and Private frequencies and the Trusted ones whose owner trusts you. Nothing is placed, and it loads no chunk to do so: like the Controller, it only reads devices that are already loaded and that you may access.

Like any Mekanism item with an owner, the Tablet has Mekanism’s security (Public, Trusted or Private). The first player to use an unowned Tablet becomes its owner; a Private one only opens for its owner.

Controller and Tablet turn into each other

Put a Quantum Network Controller alone in the crafting grid to get a Tablet, and a Tablet alone to get the Controller back. The owner, the security mode and the name are kept both ways, and nothing else.

The interface

The Tablet opens the Controller’s screen unchanged: see The interface. The only difference is the security tab, which belongs to the item.

Tips and troubleshooting

• A Tablet works away from any Controller: you do not need one placed anywhere.
• It never loads a chunk, so a device in an unloaded chunk is not measured; the screen marks the figures it could not read (“≥”, “?”, “N devices not measured”).
