Endless water, lava and rock
1. Pump the fluids
Section titled “1. Pump the fluids”The Industrial Fluid Pump is a 3 × 3 × 3 pump that draws through the far end of a Mekanism Mechanical Pipe network.
- Clear a 3 × 3 × 3 space and place the pump.
- From the intake face (left by default, seen from the front), run Mechanical Pipes to water or lava. The last pipe must be fluid-logged: placed inside the source, or filled with a bucket. A pipe next to a source does not prime it.
- Feed the back face with energy, and connect a pipe or tank to the output face (right by default).
Water flows without end. Lava sources are consumed, unless you install a Source Stabilizer Upgrade (shift + right-click the pump with it): then lava stays in place and never runs out, for four times the energy. With a Filter Upgrade, pumping water gives heavy water.
2. Make rock: the Petrogenic Synthesizer
Section titled “2. Make rock: the Petrogenic Synthesizer”The Petrogenic Synthesizer turns water and lava into one chosen rock at a time. By default: water on its left face, lava on its right face, energy at the back, and finished blocks out of the front. Pick the product on its screen. Some of the 13 products:
| Product | Water / block | Lava / block |
|---|---|---|
| Cobblestone | 250 mB | 250 mB |
| Stone | 250 mB | 250 mB |
| Obsidian | 1,000 mB | 1,000 mB |
| Basalt | 500 mB | 500 mB |
| Deepslate | 250 mB | 500 mB |
The full list, with times and energy, is on its page.
3. Scale up: the Petrogenic Synthesis Plant
Section titled “3. Scale up: the Petrogenic Synthesis Plant”The Petrogenic Synthesis Plant is the Synthesizer at industrial scale: eight independent production lines, sixteen times the output for the same upgrades, and ten times less water and lava per block at full speed. Four Synthesizers go into its recipe.
- Place the main block at the centre of the bottom layer of a clear 3 × 3 × 3 space.
- Water pipe to the back of the water tower (left from the front), lava pipe to the back of the lava tower (right).
- Energy into the port at the back centre; an item pipe or inventory on either front side.
- Click one of the eight product cells to choose its product (shift-click a product to set every line at once).
