v1.3

Three new machines for Minecraft 1.21.1 and 1.20.1: the Alloy Forge and the Circuit Forge, each with four factories, and the Basic Time Overclocker.

A stronger Metallurgic Infuser, made for alloys. Put a copper ingot in the input slot and fill its three reservoirs (redstone, diamond and refined obsidian) through the three orange slots. The forge makes an infused alloy, then a reinforced alloy, then an atomic alloy, as far as the Max you pick (1 to 3). It uses the same amounts as Mekanism: 10 redstone, 20 diamond and 40 refined obsidian for the three steps.

  • Each orange slot takes only the items of its own reservoir, and an item pushed into an orange face goes into the right slot by itself.
  • Always run off: the forge waits until the reservoirs can pay for the whole Max. On: it makes as much as the reservoirs allow.
  • An infused or reinforced alloy in the input slot goes on to the next step.
  • Takes Speed, Energy and Muffling upgrades. Its energy use (100 J per tick) and storage (80,000 J) are server settings.
  • Recipe: Steel Casing, Metallurgic Infuser, 2 Basic Control Circuits and 4 iron ingots.

The Alloy Forge with 3, 5, 7 or 9 lines (Basic, Advanced, Elite and Ultimate), all drawing from one set of three reservoirs. Each line uses the energy of one Alloy Forge.

  • Made by upgrading the machine of the tier below in a crafting grid, together with four control circuits and the Energy Cube of the tier. What the machine holds (items, reservoirs, energy) and its upgrades are kept.
  • Circuits: advanced for the Basic and Advanced factories, elite for the Elite, ultimate for the Ultimate.

Makes Mekanism’s four control circuits (Basic, Advanced, Elite and Ultimate) from osmium ingots, redstone and the three alloys. Osmium goes in the red slot. Redstone and the three alloys go in the orange slots, by hand, pipe or hopper; the alloys are kept in reserve inside the machine, up to 64 of each.

  • Basic circuit: 1 osmium ingot and 20 redstone. Advanced: 1 osmium ingot, 80 redstone and 1 infused alloy. Elite: the same plus 1 reinforced alloy. Ultimate: the same plus 1 atomic alloy.
  • Max picks the best circuit to make. With Always run on, the forge falls back on a cheaper circuit when a reserve runs short instead of waiting.
  • The reserves stay in the machine’s item when you break it.
  • Takes Speed, Energy and Muffling upgrades. Same energy settings as the Alloy Forge: 100 J per tick and 80,000 J of storage.
  • Recipe: Steel Casing, Metallurgic Infuser, 2 Basic Control Circuits and 4 osmium ingots.

The Circuit Forge with 3, 5, 7 or 9 lines (Basic, Advanced, Elite and Ultimate), all drawing from the same reserves. Each line takes its own osmium and delivers its own circuits; Max and Always run apply to every line.

  • Made by upgrading the machine of the tier below in a crafting grid, together with four control circuits and the Energy Cube of the tier, without losing what it holds (including the alloy reserves).
  • Circuits: advanced for the Basic and Advanced factories, elite for the Elite, ultimate for the Ultimate.

Place it next to a machine and the machine runs four times as fast: the Overclocker repeats the machine’s own work, and the machine itself is not changed. It pays energy for every extra tick it makes.

  • It has six faces, and each face can be switched off from its screen. Redstone stops it.
  • It never speeds up another Time Overclocker or itself. A multiblock is sped up once per tick, whichever of its blocks the Overclocker touches.
  • Server settings, in the overclocker section of the server config:
    • an on/off switch: off, the Overclockers already placed do nothing and their screen says the server switched them off;
    • the highest speed an Overclocker may give;
    • the most extra ticks all the Overclockers together may add in one server tick, so a crowd of them cannot slow the server down;
    • a blacklist of block ids that are never sped up, as a list with one id per entry. By default it holds the five blocks of the Mekanism Generators fission reactor, so a fission reactor is not sped up; the fusion reactor still is.
  • Recipe: 4 Ultimate Control Circuits, 2 Antimatter Pellets, 2 Teleportation Cores and an Ultimate Energy Cube. It is a late-game block on purpose.
  • Only the Basic tier is in this release.
  • JEI: Alloy Forging and Circuit Forging categories; Jade/WTHIT lines for the forges and the Overclocker.
  • Every new block has an information page in JEI.
  • EMI is supported too, on both Minecraft versions, and is optional like JEI, Jade and WTHIT: the addon runs without it, and no minimum EMI version is required (built against EMI 1.1.24). It shows what the JEI plugin shows: the Alloy Forging and Circuit Forging categories, a category for the Petrogenic Synthesizer and one for the Petrogenic Synthesis Plant (with the two small Speed and Energy Upgrade steppers), the Quantum Ore Refinery pages (the 3D view of the structure and one page for each ore, with the x1 to x5 tabs), an information page for each of the addon’s blocks and items, and the forges, factories and machines as workstations. The Time Overclocker is hidden from EMI when the server switched it off.
  • In EMI the refinery’s 3D view has no mouse wheel: zoom with the two small - and + buttons beside Reset, or with the - and + keys while the pointer is over the view. Drag to turn it, as in JEI.
  • All the new texts are in English and French.
  • Twice as fast. quantum_miner.speedMultiplier is now 8.0 by default (it was 4.0): with the same Speed Upgrades the Quantum Digital Miner mines eight times faster than Mekanism’s Digital Miner. Its energy use per tick is unchanged, so each block costs half the energy it did.
  • Existing worlds. A server config that still holds the old default (4.0) is moved to 8.0 once, the first time 1.3 loads it, and the new setting speedMultiplierMigrated is then set to true (the mod sets it; leave it alone). Any other value you chose stays, and a 4.0 you set after the move stays too. A 4.0 you had chosen on purpose before 1.3 cannot be told from the old default: it is moved once as well, and you can set it back. A modpack that ships its own default server config with 4.0 gets 8.0 in each new world, unless that file also sets speedMultiplierMigrated = true.
  • A limit per game tick. The new setting quantum_miner.maxBlocksPerGameTick (32 by default, 1 to 1024) is the most blocks one Quantum Digital Miner mines in a whole game tick, all the runs of its work together. A Time Overclocker makes a machine run its work several times in one tick, and cannot take a miner past this limit. Once the limit is reached the miner pays no more energy for that tick and keeps the mining progress it has earned for the next one. maxBlocksPerTick (8) still limits each single run.
  • Quantum Ore Refinery: the energy bar on the Home tab is a little shorter, and the “Inventory” title sits a little lower, so the two no longer touch.
  • Radioactive Quantum Entangloporter and Quantum Network Controller: the ports are drawn as closed plates that sit in the block, with a base layer no longer showing under them. The Entangloporter’s port frame has the same outline on all four sides.
  • Industrial Fluid Pump: the back wall now rests on the two end pillars, with no gap above them.
  • Petrogenic Synthesis Plant: the central chamber is smaller (about one block wide and high), so the two glass towers show whole from the front.
